Barefoot Contessa Inspires me to cook!

So 2 days ago i was watching the bbc food which is now the food channel, and Barefoot Contessa comes on air and she starts to make this (ok she made it look waaaaaayyyy simpler than it was) Ina made Tomato Basil elephant ears, and they looks soooo divine on tv that i thought, they are so simple, simple ingredients, short cooking time! seems perfect! I started collecting ingredients 2 days ago got the garlic at asda, then since i was unable to find sun dried tomatoes (dry) i had no choice but to look for them in Whole foods Market at High street Kensington (while i was there for another purpose anyway). I found them there! then back in our asda near our house in coventry. I got the puff pastry sheet, the parmesan cheese, the Basil leaves... and i start the process.

It is veryyy hard to chop the dried tomatoes as they are chewy and stick kindov together like rubber! then peeled the garlic cloves, chopped them, basil chopped, etc.. etc.. like the recipe says!

Caution: the shape may not look perfect (or near perfect for that mater haha) because the pastry moulds as you cut. it was serioussssly difficult to cut it. oh yeah i also used some flour so the pastry wouldnt stick everywhere including my fingers! eeeek!

FInally: the eggwash on top.. and into the oven they went. turned them after 5 mins in the oven and 5 more mins

Total time cook: 10mins
Total time preparation: 45mins

all in all i am pleased as they taste divine!! and my hubby is loving them... Yaaaaaaaay!!!
